Taylor began her YouTube career by recording ASMR videos on the help of her cell phone. PewDiePie appeared in a video about gaming soon after she reached 50k subscribers. It was approximately about 1 1/2 months after the upload of her first YouTube video. Taylor's Youtube channel reached 100,000 subscribers within 2 weeks. Taylor ceased to produce videos and put them on the internet in private. She cited technical difficulties, brand new equipment malfunctions, and the fact that she became overwhelmed by her fame. After taking a month off, Taylor began making new videos. Taylor made her popular ASMR ten triggers designed to aid in sleeping (35 millions views in the end of August in 2022). ASMR 20 Triggers to Help You Sleep, a series of videos aimed at Sleeping was released in July 2017 and is now seen by 38 million viewers. Following the milestone of 1 million YouTube subscribers, she featured in a Shane Dawson interview in August 2017. Wired UK reported that in February 2019 she earned 1,000 dollars per day by advertisements on her YouTube channel.

Helfer was born in rural Donalda, Alberta, Canada, to Dennis and Elaine Helfer. Her parents are from German as well as English descendance. She attended William E. Hay Composite High School located in Stettler. She had three sisters. Tammy, Tara, and Trena also worked with her on the family farm. When she was 17, a modeling scout of an agency came across Helfer when he was waiting in line for a cinema.
